赵旭东，1965年生于河北省承德市，祖籍浙江省桐庐县。1992年毕业于河北师范大学，获心理学硕士学位，1998年毕业于北京大学社会学系，获法学博士学位，研究方向为社会人类学。现任职于北京大学社会学系、北京大学人类学研究所，同时受聘于南开大学历史学院，兼任客座研究人员。已 发表研究论文二十余篇。
